CONTEXT
Marking the anniversary of the Normandy landings, we're developing a commemorative mobile game for an immersive experience of the Battle of Avranches. As we embark on our cultural journey, this game offers the opportunity to collect NFT memorabilia. We aim to honor history while engaging the new generation.

"The Battle of Normandy began with the D-Day landing on June 6, 1944, and ended on August 25 with the Liberation of Paris.
Several military operations followed, including one called "Cobra: the Breakthrough," which aimed to penetrate the German defenses west of Saint-Lô and enable General Patton's armored units to reach Avranches."
Inspirations & Benchmark

For inspiration for this project, I discovered the Mars24 website. It's an innovative metaverse project that allows its community to explore a geographically accurate virtual version of the planet Mars and acquire NFTs. From a benchmark perspective, Live View is an augmented reality pedestrian navigation system created by Google Maps. Due to its historical accuracy and immersive aspects, the game Assassin's Creed was an obvious choice.
Persona

Our persona is Martin Quarret, a 19-year-old Parisian. He is a computer programming student, naturally curious and organized, but also introverted. He enjoys organizing historical weekends with his close circle of friends. His goal is to learn more about modern European history and to share good times with his friends. Unfortunately, he finds memorial visits to be unoriginal, which prevents him from combining his two passions.
User journey

The user journey of our persona begins during the commemoration of the Normandy landings, where he wishes to visit with his friends to participate in activities related to this theme. However, traditional visits do not interest him. While researching Avranches, he discovers the history of General Patton. During a visit to the Normandy Victory Museum website, he notices the launch of a new application. Our persona finally finds a way to combine his passion for modern history and video games. He realizes that he can purchase NFTs during his journey, which makes him even more excited about retracing the Battle of La Haye-du-Puits.

Moodboard & Style guide

For this application, we drew inspiration from the visual field of the military, using colors reminiscent of the Earth. Regarding the fonts, I used the Call of Duty font for the application logo, while the main font is SF Compact Display, used in semi-bold and medium.
